An anaesthesia record that fills itself from the monitor
Caresoft OTMS receives vitals from OT monitors and central stations over HL7 v2, by HTTP or a native MLLP listener. Heart rate, SpO₂, blood pressure, MAP, EtCO₂, respiratory rate and temperature attach to the patient on the table, are flagged when out of range, and print as a chart at 5-minute intervals.
What you get
- Reads LOINC and IEEE 11073 codes used by major monitor makers
- Converts kPa to mmHg and °F to °C automatically
- Readings attach only to the patient in that OT at that time
- Drugs, fluids and events added by voice or typing
- Live HR, SpO₂ and MAP on the OT wall board
Safety steps it enforces
Start the incision before the WHO Time-Out is complete
Time-Out is a required step. The "Start surgery" button stays locked until every item is ticked.
Close a case when the swab count does not match
Initial, closing and final counts are compared item by item. A mismatch blocks completion.
Wheel the next patient into an OT that is still being cleaned
The cleaning interval runs after every case. Patient-in is locked until cleaning is signed off.
Questions
Can it connect to OT monitors for the anaesthesia record?
Yes. Monitors or central stations send HL7 v2 vitals over HTTP or MLLP. Heart rate, SpO₂, blood pressure, EtCO₂, respiratory rate and temperature are charted automatically and flagged when out of range.
